As a photography + videography team, our mission is to not only capture your wedding day, but to leave you with heirlooms your family will truly cherish. We intentionally choose to focus on emotion, movement, and real moments - rather than an endless list of poses. Although our goal is to capture everything candidly, we offer lots of guidance to help our clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. Our ideal bride + groom will care a great deal about their wedding - but will care infinitely more about one another.
A few years ago, when Nic and I were engaged, we didn't even entertain the thought of hiring a videographer to capture our wedding day. In our minds, it was unnecessary - just another expense. To this day, it's one of our biggest regrets. We are so thankful to now offer both photo and video to our brides.
We offer both highlight videos and full-length ceremony films. Most of our clients prefer the highlights because it allows them to relive their entire wedding day in just a few minutes! These videos are usually somewhere between 7-12 minutes long depending on the amount of time we are booked for.
We also utilize audio excerpts in our work. This gives you the chance to hear your vows, toasts, love letters, etc. for the rest of your lives.
Engagement sessions have so many benefits. First of all, it allows you and your fiancé a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera. It also gives you some great shots to use for Save-the-Dates, wedding displays, and parent gifts.
We will choose a location that reflects your personalities. I will ask you both to dress in outfits you feel comfortable in - the best pictures happen when you feel confident! We'll spend time chatting, laughing, and just getting to know each other.
My goal is to capture your natural interactions, rather than forcing unfamiliar poses. I try to stay away from shot lists because I find it difficult to capture organic emotions and movement when you are trying to recreate someone else's moment. You story matters to me and I want to document this sweet season of life as it really is.
The purpose of a bridal session is to devote time to capturing portraits of the bride-to-be without the pressure or time constraints of a wedding day. Many of my clients also use this opportunity as a trial run for their hair + makeup. They might also order a canvas of a bridal image to display at their reception. These sessions typically take place 6-8 weeks out from the big day. And don't forget: it's a great idea to bring a bouquet to the session!
Building a solid client base begins with personal branding. While word of mouth referrals and paid advertising may be effective, clients will ultimately fall in love with YOU. Investing in a first impression is crucial.
